Potty Training

You can potty train your child in ONE weekend. Your child has to be ready and you, the parent has to also be ready. Potty training is a very important milestone in a child's development. They are transitioning from wearing a diaper to wearing panties or underwear and using the potty on their own.

For some, this can be a scary transition. Start out small and add steps gradually. Use positive reinforcement in potty training. Give treats for making an effort and a reward for successfully using the potty.

Even when a child has an accident remember they are learning. Punishing them is going to result in resistance. They will be afraid to try to go potty again which is a huge setback. Always be sure to reassure the child that you love them and to try again. Have them help you clean the mess up after a potty accident.

Potty training takes dedication meaning one must be consistent with it to be successful.
