Christmas Time With Your Child

Christmas Time

Christmas time is here. Lights are being strung on rooftops. Trees are being decorated, and shoppers are all looking for that special gift for that special someone.

I know that many of you are busy and it is easy to get caught up in the hurry hurry lifestyle during this time of year.

However, I want you to focus on slowing your pace. Take time to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas.

Watch your child take delight in all the wonders of Christmas. Help your child experience Christmas in a fun loving way. You also need to experience Christmas in the same way as your child.

Look at Christmas through the eyes of your child. For this is the time of year that we celebrate the birth of a child who was born many years ago. This child was God’s gift to us. A gift like no other. For this child would grow up to be the Savior of the world.

So sit down with your child and read the beautiful story found in the Bible. It is in the second chapter of the Gospel of Luke. As you read this wonderful story of Jesus, our Savior, take time to reflect upon all the Christmas memories you have. Then be thankful for God’s gift of Jesus. Also be thankful you can share this story with your child.

As the song says:

"Jesus loves me,
This I know.
For the Bible tells me so.
Little ones to him belong,
They are weak,
But He is strong."

Potty Training Before The Holidays

Potty Training and the Holidays

The holidays are here, and many of you are getting ready for Christmas. Your children are making their requests of what they want for Christmas.

Just think what a wonderful Christmas present to have your child potty trained before Christmas. You can have that wonderful present in just three days. The course I am talking about will tell you step by step how to get your child potty trained and out of diapers.

One of the steps I mention in the course is to get rid of the diapers. You don’t have to throw them away. You can give the unused diapers to a daycare or even to your local crisis pregnancy center.

You can get your child potty trained, and you can help someone out by donating the unused diapers to a daycare or a crisis pregnancy center.

Little Boys Need To Have Confidence When Potty Training

Make Your Child Feel Confident

I have a little boy in my class who has just started wearing "big boy" underwear. At first he wasn’t sure that he liked wearing underwear to daycare. He had been sick for a few days just before his parents decided to take him out of diapers.

So not only had he been sick and missed a few days of daycare but now he had to give up his security of wearing diapers. When he came back to daycare he wanted to go home. He had to get used to being in daycare again. He also wanted to take his pull-ups home with him.

What we decided to do was to let him wear a pull up at daycare until he was secure being with us again. He finally decided he didn’t want to wear a pull-up. He ended up not making it to the potty in time and he wet his clothes. This seemed to upset him and all he would say is Mommy and Daddy won’t be proud.

I told him that his Mommy and Daddy would still be proud of him for doing his best and staying dry. This calmed him and allowed him to relax. His Daddy told him when he picked him up at daycare that he was proud that he had stayed dry most of the day. This made the little boy smile. Since then he has continued to keep his underwear dry and he is happy to wear his "big boy" underwear to daycare.

Therefore, when you are potty training your child do like these parents and make sure that your child knows that you are happy and proud of him when he does his best at staying dry.

Potty Train And Get Rid Of Diapers

Ready To Get Out Of Diapers

Today I had something that was cute and funny in my class. This is the class where we spend a big part of the time potty training. It is during these times that funny little things happen.

Today I had a little girl wake up from naptime to inform me that she no longer would need to have her diaper changed. She was now going to use the potty and not her pull-up. Now this wasn’t out of the ordinary for her to make this statement. However, a few minutes later she was by my side jumping from one foot to the other on her toes saying, "I need to pee-pee. Now!"

I got another teacher to come to the room and take her to the potty, and believe it or not she actually was able to wait and hold her pee-pee until she got to the potty. This may not sound very funny to you, but if you have every had to go really bad and had no place to potty I’m sure you spent a little time bouncing back and forth on your toes also.

I was proud that she tried so hard to not use her diaper. Most of the children in my class are doing very well at potty training. The parents are happy with the progress that their child makes form diapers to underwear.

If you are looking for this same type of success at home check out my course on potty training at this site.
